The Introduction Of HDTV TVs
By : Maxeka Lumuda
Today in the world we are as the eye witness of the revolution that will transform our television viewing experience. That revolution is HDTV (High Definition Television) TVs and it is with us now available in a limited form. This new technology offers truly high picture quality with a depth and clarity that has to be seen to be found out. The conventional televisions which have 576 visible lines offer a low level of quality that doesn’t come close to the 720 or 1028 lines offered by HDTV TVs.
But, is high Definition just for the HDTV TVs? This technology also has the other zone, like in DVD or gaming. For DVDs, there are two new High Definition DVD formats have been competing for consumer affections. Furthermore, the manufacturers like Canon and Sony have launched a range of High Definition camcorders which has further expanded the possibilities of working with this exiting new format. This is an interesting news instead the HDTV TVs news.
HDTV TVs or High Definition Television offers the highest picture quality available in the world of home entertainment. Instead of using the conventional 576 lines to plot a TV picture, HDTV TVs uses 720 or 1080 lines. It means the pixels in each of those lines are closer. This results in a hugely improved picture quality, clarity and color definition. Remember that the quality of your picture depends on the source of the broadcast as well as the quality of your TV. You can watch a Plasma or LCD screen, but the quality will not be as good as Sky (1080 lines). A Plasma or LCD TV will actually scale whatever source to fit the screen. The differences are between 720p, 1080i and 1080p
HDTV TVs broadcast pictures also come in two formats. The first is 720p, which is an image comprised of 1280 lines along the horizontal by 720 vertical lines. It shows the whole image in a single frame is progressive. The second is 1080i, which measures 1920 x 1080 lines and is displayed as two fields that are interlaced. You get a bit more detail with 1080i but the interlaced image is not as smooth as a progressively scanned one.
So, do you want to join in the revolution of HDTV TVs? Just take the point where you can confidently buy the kit that is right for you, and start enjoying the HDTV TVs experiences.
